What would you do if you woke up in bed and the person next to you was dead? Would you call the cops, run away, or try to figure out who the killer is?
Based on the bestselling novel, Flight Attendant is an HBO Max series about Cassie, an alcoholic flight attendant who has a one-night stand with a passenger. When she wakes up in the morning, he's dead in the bed beside her.
Terrified and in a foreign country, Cassie desperately searches for answers to what happened that night and who the killer could be.
Somehow, she makes a series of reckless mistakes that only makes her look more guilty. Of course, it doesn't help that she uses alcohol and partying to escape her trauma.
Oh, and fun fact, she also has casual conversations with the dead passenger in her mind.
I will admit it took me a while to get used to the creative plot of "Flight Attendant." There were also a few moments in the first two episodes that almost made me stop watching, but I'm glad I didn't because it does improve.
Kaley Cuoco, who starred as Penny in Big Bang Theory, does an excellent job portraying the main character, who is charismatic and impulsive. As each episode reveals pieces of Cassie's backstory, you will slowly understand why she is who she is.
You should add "Flight Attendant" to your watchlist as long as you don't expect the series to be realistic and are looking for something with a murder mystery element.
