"High Seas" Review

As a child, I used to love reading the Nancy Drew series. It always amazed me that Nancy could solve any crime and mystery at her age, no matter what situation. Now, I am happy to say that I got to experience the same suspenseful thrill I had in the past when I was watching a Spanish mystery drama on Netflix.
“High Seas” is one of those underrated shows that deserves more recognition for it essentially being like a Nancy Drew meets Sherlock Holmes crossover. It’s similar to a murder mystery where you guess who the killer is, and everyone is a suspect. Those who you think are guilty tend to be innocent and vice versa.
No one can escape either because they are stuck on a ship traveling from Spain to Brazil in the 1940s. There are secrets, romance, murder, and my absolute favorite...drama.
“High Seas” has three seasons, and although it can be slow-paced sometimes, it’s worth your investment. Besides, if you’re really into romance, there’s this one particular couple who has fantastic chemistry and a lot of sexual tension.
Fair Warning: There will be moments where you realize that certain situations could have been avoided if the characters hadn’t been so trusting, but it’s a show, so don’t expect anything too realistic.
As always, here’s the official trailer for the show and let me know in the comments or contact form below if you watch it or have any other show recommendations:
