Elite is a Spanish teen drama on Netflix that fans of popular shows such as Gossip Girl, Riverdale, and How to Get Away with Murder would absolutely love.

Set in an exclusive private school called Las Encinas in Spain, everyone’s reputation is based on their wealth, privilege, and social power of their families. However, nothing is what it seems to be as scandals, sex, and murder follows the group around.

Each one-hour episode has a flash-forward recap similar to How To Get Away with Murder, which exposes who was murdered later on and viewers have to guess each episode who the killer was before the ultimate reveal. It’s extremely hard to predict based on the fact that every character has a motive for the murder.

In addition, each individual on the show has character development in ways that keep the viewers on their toes. Some people may find that they relate to these characters as they are all going through real-life issues. Others may find that they love a certain character one moment and then strongly dislike them the next.

Although Elite does have tons of teen drama cliches, there always ends up being some sort of plot twist that keeps you guessing. Anyone who binge-watches all three seasons of this compelling show will be going through an emotional roller coaster the entire time just like I did.

The official trailer below is set in Spanish audio with English subtitles but you can actually watch the show with English audio like I did.
