This review will be concise as I can’t reveal too many details about the show without spoiling it for you.
There is a reason why the new thriller series, "Clickbait," has received so much popularity since its release and landed on Netflix's top 10 list.
"Clickbait" is a limited eight-episode series about a perfect family man, Nick Brewer, kidnapped and held hostage in a viral video posted online. As his family races to find him, devastating secrets begin to unravel about who Nick indeed was.
In every episode, new secrets are revealed, along with potential suspects. There are so many plot twists and cliffhangers that I honestly started to get confused. I didn't know what to expect or even what to believe anymore because every time I made a guess, something else would happen.
It reminds me of another show called "Black Mirror" as it was not only a thriller but had a more profound message behind it about our society. It touched on the dangers of online dating, internet addiction, and vigilante culture.
So if you're looking for a show that's unpredictable and well worth the click, this is it.
