“Stupid things have good outcomes all the time.”

Set in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Netflix’s hit show “Outer Banks” is about four friends going on an adventurous treasure hunt that could lead them to 400 million dollars. Along the way, they make enemies and get into all kinds of trouble (getting attacked, kidnapped, shot, etc.).

The cast does a fantastic job portraying each character and creating good chemistry among the friend group. They may bicker and tease each other a lot, but they are always there for each other in need.

John B leads the hunt as the treasure relates to his father’s disappearance. JJ is the hilarious troublemaker with reckless ideas that endangers the group more.

Pope is ambitious and wants to use part of the money to pay for college. Kiara is the group’s mom, constantly lecturing them for their crazy antics but participating in it anyway.

Released in 2020, “Outer Banks” started as the perfect show for escaping the reality of the pandemic and imagining yourself on a dangerous treasure hunt. Now spanning three seasons, the series has evolved into something more as it covers a wide range of genres such as teen drama, comedy, romance, mystery, and unbelievable action.

If you want to watch a chaotic friend group get involved in life-endangering activities, I suggest you binge this highly entertaining show.
