56 Days Review

“A fugitive and a con artist obsessed with each other. I’m not sure which one of them was more demented.”

"56 Days" on Amazon Prime is one of those psycho-thrillers that completely pulls you in and doesn't let go. A fugitive and a con artist, both obsessed with each other-you genuinely won't know which one is more unhinged. When Dove Cameron (Liv & Maddie) and Avan Jogia (Victorious) come together in a darker, more adult role, it creates this intense, seductive dynamic that drives the entire series.

Based on the bestselling novel, the story follows two con artists whose relationship is built entirely on lies. If you're into shows like You or How to Get Away with Murder, this will absolutely hook you. The structure jumps between timelines-counting down the 56 days leading up to a murder while also showing the aftermath—so you're constantly piecing things together.

The characters are what really make it:

Oliver gives major Joe-from- You vibes-obsessive, secretive, and deeply troubled, with multiple identities and a past that keeps unraveling. Ciara is just as complex, hiding her own secrets and motives, and what starts as manipulation slowly turns into something much more complicated.

The detective storyline adds another layer too, with strong partner dynamics and steady reveals each episode that keep the tension building.

What really got me was the ending—| did not see it coming. It's suspenseful, twisted, and just unpredictable enough to keep you guessing the entire time. Definitely worth the watch if you like psychological dramas with messy relationships, dark scenes, and shocking reveals.
